Additional information
- Directs, through military and civilian personnel specialists and assistants, the execution and coordination of a variety of military and civilian personnel programs.
- Determines strengths and weaknesses, procedural and regulatory deficiencies in program areas, and provides recommendations to correct or improve current practices.
- Conducts special projects or comprehensive studies to identify and examine problems or operating issues that may impact a major organization or entire field activity within the command.
- Advises the commander on military personnel issues for all active duty and reserve soldiers including recommendations on the optimum distribution of military specialties and location assignments.
- Advises on and briefs proposed initiatives and new or revised policies and procedures that impact the command's military and civilian personnel program.
- Reviews personnel actions and provides guidelines on complex and/or sensitive issues, such as those that differ from past practices, involve highly visible or political situations, or involve nepotism.
- Lead action officer for newly developed cyberspace personnel requirements for immediate and long-range HR planning.
- Develop and manage strategic HR requirements and coordinate with higher echelon organizations such as DA, TRADOC, CAC, CCoE Staffs, Civilian Senior Leader Management Office (CSLMO), and other external units.
Conditions of employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 10 percent of the time.
- This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85.
- Signing of a DA Form 5019 acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior to being placed into this position.
- This position is in the Supervision/Management work category as defined by Cyber Excepted Service, DoDI 1400.25-V3007. A one-year supervisory probation is required to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties.
