In this role, you will join a cross-functional team supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-performance networks for mission-critical DoD and aerospace programs. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Position Overview:
As a Network Design Engineering Support specialist for Space Force satellite ground systems, you will join a cross-functional team supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-performance networks for mission-critical DoD and aerospace programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Architecture: Design and implement enterprise and high-speed network topologies for satellite ground systems and related DoD/aerospace environments.
- System Integration: Maintain and optimize network infrastructure, including Linux IDM and Windows Servers (DNS, account management), Juniper firewalls, Arista switches, and NAS devices.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all network solutions meet DoD cybersecurity and operational standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable network solutions.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and configuration records in accordance with DoD/aerospace best practices.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- Proven background in enterprise network design and high-speed network implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Linux IDM, Windows Server environments, Juniper firewalls, Arista switches, and NAS.
- Familiarity with DoD, aerospace, or government network environments is strongly preferred.
Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if required by future project needs.
- U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting DoD, Space Force, or aerospace network projects.
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
