What does this role look like?

We are seeking a highly experienced Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) Engineer to support sophisticated, mission-critical aerospace and defense systems. This role is responsible for managing the technical baseline across the full program lifecycle, ensuring configuration integrity, compliance, and disciplined change control in a classified environment.

The selected candidate will work cross-functionally with Systems Engineering, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to analyze and implement changes, manage product data, and deliver contractual artifacts to government customers. This role also provides leadership through process development, audit execution, and mentoring of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage configuration and data management processes across multiple lifecycle phases (development, integration, test, and sustainment)

• Analyze proposed engineering changes to determine impacts to the overall product, system, and affected subsystems

• Manage and maintain the technical baseline using Windchill EPDM or equivalent PDM/PLM tools

• Support formal and informal releases, including engineering release processes and baseline change control

• Support as-designed / as-built configuration tracking and verification

• Lead or participate in change boards, tracking actions, risks, and decisions; generate meeting minutes and follow-up artifacts

• Manage Contract Deliverable Requirement Lists (CDRLs), including scheduling, tracking, and delivery to the customer

• Perform data management activities, including tracking, submission, repository management, and data marking compliance

• Develop, optimize, and execute processes for effici

Locations: Littleton, CO, Colorado Springs, CO or King of Prussia, PA.
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret (TS/SCI preferred)
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Active or Current TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

• Experience performing Configuration Management on complex systems, including change control, baseline management, and engineering release processes.

• Experience managing a technical baseline using Windchill EPDM or a comparable PDM/PLM system, including formal and informal releases.

• Experience supporting or conducting Configuration Management audits (e.g., FCA, PCA, CVA) and/or Hardware Acceptance Reviews.

• Experience managing CDRLs and program data, including tracking, scheduling, and delivering contractual artifacts to government customers.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of configuration and data management standards, including ANSI/EIA-649

• Experience with Government contracts or subcontract management

• Experience conducting Hardware Acceptance Reviews and Physical Configuration Audits

• Experience in Data Management activities, including repositories, tracking, and submissions

• Experience facilitating change boards, action tracking, and stakeholder coordination

• Familiarity with MBSE concepts and tools such as CAMEO for system architecture modeling

• Demonstrated systems thinking and ability to understand complex system interactions

• Experience with Access Databases, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and collaboration tools

• Proficiency in security and data marking practices

• Experience with C&DM start-up activities

• Demonstrated ability to design, modify, and optimize processes, including integration of AI-enabled technologies

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,900 - $147,085. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
