Job Description
• The Technician is responsible for the assembly, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, diagnosis, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in support of military vehicle programs.
• This role provides hands-on technical support for HIMARS, M270, and other military platforms, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with engineering and maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and systems in accordance with schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal work instructions
• Operate test equipment to perform functional and performance testing; accurately document results per established procedures
• Perform precision calibration, alignment checks, component modifications, part replacements, and preparation of required compounds and solutions
• Provide hands-on mechanical support for military vehicles, including preventive maintenance, fault isolation, and repair of gasoline and diesel powertrain systems
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety, quality, and program requirements
Required Qualifications
• Familiarity with gasoline and diesel engines and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot vehicle powertrain systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications during the assignment
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience as a diesel mechanic on heavy-duty or industrial equipment (e.g., bulldozers, large diesel engines)
• Experience working on military platforms such as HIMARS, M270, HMMWV (HUMVEE), or comparable tactical vehicles
