Telecommunications Engineer

IDR is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Fort Meade, MD. This role involves designing and supporting complex telecommunications systems within a secure environment. The company operates within the defense and government services industry, focusing on advanced network solutions and communications technologies.

Position Overview for the Telecommunications Engineer:

• Architect and design complex telecommunications systems to meet operational requirements
• Support the development and implementation of test plans and procedures for network systems
• Manage network technology, components, systems, and vendor collaborations
• Support information technology projects, ensuring adherence to risk, cost, schedule, and performance metrics
• Conduct system research, issue resolution, and configuration management within a secure environment

Requirements for the Telecommunications Engineer:

• Experience working as a telecommunications engineer
• Experience in architecting and designing complex systems
• Experience with network technology, components, systems, and vendors
• Ability to develop requirements and technical solutions
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam
