Valiant Integrated Services, a prominent leader in the Defense Services industry, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Primary Domain Administrator for the Army at the Mission Training Complex (MTC) at JBLM, Washington. This full-time position involves, but not limited to maintaining and managing the MTC Domain and RMF servers, ensuring compliance with security standards, and providing networking support for training exercises. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to maintain strong communication and collaboration with military customers, government officials, and contract staff, working closely with department leads, government leadership, and the contract Program Manager to ensure successful program execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain the MTC Domain by reviewing network servers system and application logs, verifying completion of scheduled jobs, and analyzing network and server resource consumption.
  • Build, maintain, and configure RMF servers, assisting team members with updates to standalone systems and network devices.
  • Enforce and inspect Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and ensure compliance with DISA, Army, and DOD standards.
  • Assist with the management of the MTC eMASS record by maintaining RMF documentation, including STIGs checklists and network diagrams.
  • Provide networking support for the MTC and assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination.
  • Prepare reports on security incidents and changing responses.
  • Remain abreast of emergent technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active U.S. DoD Secret (S) or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

CERTIFICATION ERQUIREMENTS:
  • Meet DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) or must meet the minimum DoD 8140 DCWF equivalent requirements (Intermediate). Currently the position requires CompTIA Security+, but might include additional certifications at a later time.

EDCUATION REQUIREMENTS: Meet One of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Cybersecurity and/or IA, or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in one of these fields.
  • Master's degree in CS, IT, Cybersecurity and/or IA, or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in one of these fields.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to successfully meet all training required of DoD computing environments for all supported systems within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IA (Information Assurance) and RMF (Risk Management Framework).
  • Working knowledge of current technologies and products for all MTC services and security environments.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Server 2019, and Linux Red Hat 2022.
  • Ability to document and update processes and perform tasks under deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and act as lead when section team lead is unavailable.
  • Must be able to work on-site at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington
  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10-15% of the time).
  • Must be a disciplined worker capable of meeting short suspenses.
  • Must have excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the following applications: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and VISIO.
  • Must be able to support shift work that occurs outside normal working hours to support 24/7 operations during exercise events that may be more than 40 hours per week.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experienced with DoD cybersecurity.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Server system administration.
  • Experienced in Linux/Red Hat Operating Systems.
  • Experienced with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Certification in predominant operating systems, including CompTIA Linux+, Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator or Redhat Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certification, Microsoft Server 2019.
  • Experience with VMWare installation, configuration, and maintenance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds to setup, relocate, and store equipment.
  • Work in both in buildings and outdoor environments.
  • Outdoor environments may involve inclement weather conditions, carrying equipment over uneven terrain, and maneuvering equipment in tight spaces.
