Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will support the Sponsor's cloud solution organization by providing consulting and hands-on expertise to develop, implement, and manage the automated testing strategy for a multi-vendor (cloud service provider) environment. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for testing all services to ensure compliance with governance/policy as defined and implemented by the cloud commercial engineering team. Emphasis will be placed on developing automated test scripts so that testing could be reproducible, and moving the team towards test-driven development.

Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will support the Sponsor's cloud solution organization by providing consulting and hands-on expertise to develop, implement, and manage the automated testing strategy for a multi-vendor (cloud service provider) environment. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for testing all services to ensure compliance with governance/policy as defined and implemented by the cloud commercial engineering team. - Develop and execute test cases that address areas such as network connectivity, account isolation, role management, access control, auditing, and account creation automation.
- Document defects using a tracking system, and report to development.
- Document test procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Prepare milestone status reports and deliveries and presentations on the system test and evaluation concepts.
- Perform analysis of documented user requirements, and design test plans in support of user requirements for the system.
- Work with the team and SMEs to plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
- Provide monthly and/or weekly reporting
Qualifications
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor's degree relevant to role, or equivalent experience as a systems engineer supporting system integration and test activities on a large integration program/cloud environment.
- BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
- At least 10 years of experience working in in a testing capacity on a complex Sponsor program.
- Significant knowledge and understanding of cloud technologies from at least one vendor (AWS, Oracle, Microsoft, or Google), and ability to learn cloud technologies from unfamiliar vendors.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with establishing and/or executing automated testing procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a cohesive and energetic team and ability to work independently as needed to meet requirements.
