Senior VMware NSX Consultant

Our client, located in Reno, NV is currently in need of a Senior VMware NSX Consultant for a 12 month contract with anticipated extensions. The consultant will work remotely in support of the customer's VMware environment with heavy focus on NSX. The consultant will be working a flexible schedule, which can include nights or weekends, to provide expertise in NSX networking, vDefend distributed firewall (DFW), optimization of DFW policies, migrating to VM based security groups & apply to specific workloads, Gateway Firewall (GFW), AVI deployment and management, and to troubleshoot as needed. Delivery will start once the State of Nevada Public Trust is obtained.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with VMware NSX and the ANS suite
• Experience with vDefend Distributed Firewall (DFW)
• Optimization experience using IP based DFW policy
• Experience with Gateway Firewall (GFW)
• Experience deploying AVI, as well as AVI SLB and GSLB deployment and management
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to AVI and vDefend deployments
• Active State of Nevada clearance or a US citizen able to obtain the Public Trust clearance
• Willing to work a flexible schedule based on customer needs, including nights or weekends

Preferred or Nice to Have Skills:

• VMC on AWS experience
• HCX experience
• VCF 9x experience
• Familiarity with VPC

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $65 - 100 per hour
