Description
TEKsystems has an opening for a System Administrator on a DISA contract. This role is primarily on the customer site at Ft Meade, MD. The Senior Administrator will provide support for assigned systems supporting Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide Senior level expertise for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.
• Lead as the Subject Matter Expert on all VDI related issues/needs.
• Provide support for ticket escalation on major outages.
• Be able to work in a rapid paced environment at times.
• Provide strategic leadership and input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements.
• Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed.
• Interacts with Tier III support and evaluates vendor products.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
• Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.
• Application of security settings and other commercial best
• Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.

• 8+ years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment
• Bachelor's Degree - Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree

• Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI practices
