The Director of Programs at AEVEX Aerospace is responsible for the technical, schedule & financial performance of a portfolio of programs in the Aircraft Modification & Integration business area. Through a team of Program Managers, the Director of Programs leads all elements of the programmatic lifecycle planning & execution to include technical solutions, budgeting, schedules, and resources. As the primary leader for AM&I solutions, the director of programs establishes and maintains strong relationships with customers and partners. In support of the management operating system, the DoP is responsible for program status updates, proposal review and approval, and negotiations with program stakeholders. They will have strong communication skills and work cross-functionally to drive financial performance & growth across the business.

Essential Functions
- Responsible and accountable for successful execution of all programs with the AM&I business area to include financial performance, forecasting accuracy, , risk & opportunity analysis, scope/change management, staffing plans, and financial commitments (Revenue, Cost Management, Cash)
- Ensure robust variance analysis is carried out to support the monthly program statusing cycle
- lead, develop, and continuously improve a professional program management organization.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of all program health indicators to include, but not limited to, technical, schedule, contractual, and financial requirements.
- Supports the creation of Annual & Strategic Operating Plans.
- Support implementation of company initiatives
- Ensure programs pertaining to flight operations are executed to the highest level of safety and that all personnel maintain professional standards at all time
- Key contributor to the SIOP process by ensuring accurate demand forecasts for all resource elements, and effective resource planning for the program management organization
- Support business development efforts including the identification & evaluation of opportunities, participating in the capture process, and pipeline management in coordination with Corporate Growth
- Develop cost estimates & basis of estimates (BOEs) for Proposals, ROMs and competitive pursuits
- Support the creation of proposal technical & cost volumes, and lead gate reviews for executive approvals
- Lead interaction with support functions such as contracts, supply chain and finance
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Establish & maintain templates, tools, and guidelines for program documentation and execution
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies
- Security Clearance-Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
- Excellent Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities; both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Detail oriented with strong planning, organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
- Previous experience, familiarity and understanding of aircraft modifications, missionization, maintenance and operations.

Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent training
- Active Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level 3
Experience
- 10-15 years program management experience including 5+ years managing a team
- Military, defense, or aviation related industry experience in aircraft operations, maintenance, or logistics preferred
