Description:
You will be the Sustainment Engineer for the Missiles & Fire Control Advanced Tactical Weapon System team. Our team drives the development, qualification, and fielding of support equipment and logistics products that keep cutting edge weapons ready for mission critical use throughout the Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Sustainment Engineer you will be responsible for shaping the lifecycle support of a high performance tactical weapon system. You'll work hands on with cross functional experts to create, verify, and deliver the hardware, software, and packaging solutions that enable rapid, reliable maintenance and testing in the field.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Authoring and updating detailed requirements documents, verification plans, supplier statements of work, and test procedures.
• Designing, qualifying, and fielding support equipment and handling software that sustain deployed systems.
• Leading or participating in compatibility events, suitability & maintainability demonstrations, fit checks, environmental tests, and technical procedure reviews.
• Coordinating software, electrical, mechanical, and structural analysts in the development, testing, qualification, and verification of support solutions.
• Partnering with program SMEs to verify product analysis requirements and produce technical reports.
• Overseeing the design and manufacturing of equipment items to meet development milestones and customer delivery schedules.
• Creating Special Packaging Instructions (SPIs) and preservation data for equipment containers.
• Serving on the system design team to influence maintainability and testability improvements, ensuring operational availability.
• Conducting or updating maintainer task analyses-evaluating task frequency, sequence, required tools, job aids, time estimates, personnel needs, and Human Engineering (HE) considerations that feed back into design.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess a current Final Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of relevant experience working in Field Service and / or Depot Operations (or similar position)
• Previous experience with an Air to Air missile system (or similar system)
• An active U.S. Department of Defense SECRET Security Clearance.
• Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government Property
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Ability to work with hazardous materials
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
• Candidate must be able to maintain a good working relationship with the customer
Desired Skills:
• Technical engineering degree in appropriate field commensurate to assignment and / or equivalent military background.
• Previous experience as an Air-to-Air missile system Contractor Logistics Support Technician and / or Depot Maintenance Engineer - Demonstrated ability in interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, interface specifications, and system level requirements - Demonstrated ability in applying troubleshooting and fault detection/isolation methods
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, cable-and-harness, and circuit card assemblies (CCA) • Ability to interpret industry standards and military specifications
• Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Certification
