MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team in Fort Detrick, MarylandThis is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

This position supports a pivotal Defense Health Agency (DHA) program within our Health Portfolio. The successful candidate will work with an experienced project team supporting systems that are instrumental to Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) business processes in Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), warehouses, and in-field environments. This role involves systems administration and maintenance across multiple large-scale enterprise environments, including Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This role involves systems administration and maintenance across multiple large-scale enterprise environments, including Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform daily Operations & Maintenance (O&M) tasks, including system updates, upgrades, and patch management.
- Administer and support a diverse technology stack, including JBoss, Kafka, Redis, Jenkins, HAProxy, and Puppet.
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Provide advanced technical evaluation, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported servers in response to service desk incidents, including server failures and system outages.
- Analyze business application requirements and design specifications to support functional activities.
- Collaborate with personnel on interfacing systems and support Defense Health Agency (DHA) cloud migration activities. Assist the customer with the development of system baselines, performance management, and future capacity planning.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program-level and user-level documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution or 10+ years of relevant experience plus one of the following current certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree: Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, or SSCP.
- Extensive experience with the administration of enterprise Linux environments (Red Hat, OracleLinux).
- Proven experience in a DevOps environment and with AWS cloud migration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., F5 load balancers, AWS networking).
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and trade-off analysis skills - particularly cross-team coordination where an architecture change has an impact to multiple sub-systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with an interconnected mix of software systems, back-end processes, and integration functionality - including transactional systems, business intelligence and reports, and data integration pipelines via both traditional ETL and modern application programming interface (API) or message-queue approaches.
- Experience with tools and capabilities such as Gitlab (including runners, pipelines, and API access), Jenkins, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), OpenID Connect (OIDC), and scripting languages (ex. Bash, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, PowerShell).
- Enterprise logistics and supply chain experience, particularly medical logistics exposure related to inventory and cataloging, life-cycle management/tracking, and related industry/regulatory standards - and an understanding of logistics-related challenges as they relate to software system design and improvement.
- Experience with the AWS GovCloud environment, and managing architecture that spans a mix of existing legacy/migrating systems and cloud-based software.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a Public Trust suitability and undergo a Tier 3 Investigation for DoD Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility only
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
