Overview

The Lead Network Service Center Voice Technician provides Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD), also known as AFLCMC/HNC or HNC, life-cycle management for Information Assurance (IA) and other critical systems.

Responsibilities

· Assist in identifying inefficiencies, mapping current workflows, proposing improvements, and monitoring process performance.

· Support the Government in facilitating continuous improvement sessions, such as retrospectives, planning events, and daily stand-ups, where applicable and align/tailor process improvement tools and methodologies with Government objectives and specific needs of each functional section.

· Provide systems management, installation design & implementation, preventive maintenance, system troubleshooting, and end-user support for HNC customers.

· Provide support for secure and non-secure voice systems, including but not limited to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system and end instruments, distribution systems, outlets, encryption devices, signaling parameters (e.g. Tim Division Multiplexing (TDM), VoIP, Session Initiated Protocol (SIP), H.323 signaling protocol), feature capabilities, conference capabilities, and trunk interfaces with various communication protocols.

· Support services include system monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of issues to ensure optimal system performance and security compliance.

· Configure, register, test, and sustain support for layered VTC Systems/Suites and Conference Room Networked Systems. This support includes troubleshooting, system monitoring, and user assistance to ensure seamless operations.

· Design, install, configure, document, and test telecommunications distribution systems, including but not limited to internal cabling, copper and fiber optic wiring, grounding systems, fiber inner ducts, fiber systems, and Protected Distribution Systems (PDS).

· Ensure all work conforms to the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices, Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) guidelines, National Electrical Code (NEC), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9000) standards.

· Provide telecommunications construction support, including but not limited to design assistance, establishment of communication rooms, renovation of distribution systems, and modification of secure facilities to accommodate telecommunication needs. All work must comply with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), or other accrediting authority. Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, TEMPEST, and Department of Defense

(DoW) directives. Work will be limited to incidental modifications related to telecommunications installation projects, with minimal real property modifications.

· Ensure that work conducted in buildings housing cryptographic, IA, and communication systems complies with all security and operational requirements. All telecommunications systems will be installed, tested, and maintained in accordance with appropriate security protocols and directives.

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor's Degree in IT related degree with 4 years experience OR Bachelor Degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience

· Experience with designing, installation, configuration, documentation, and testing telecommunications distribution systems

· Experience with configuring, registering, testing, and sustaining support for layered VTC Systems/Suites and Conference Room Networked Systems.

· Understands Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices, Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) guidelines, National Electrical Code (NEC), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9000) standards

· Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory; Microsoft Server 2008, or higher; proficiency in VMWare 5.1or higher and vSphere Administration

· Registered IAT Level II baseline certification: either CCNA Security, CySA+**, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND and SSCP (preferred Security+ CE certificate)

· Secret Clearance
