BigBear.ai is seeking an Embedded Developer 3 to design, develop, and support embedded software solutions to meet mission needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded software development, debugging, and testing, as well as a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

BigBear.ai is seeking an Embedded Developer 3 to design, develop, and support embedded software solutions to meet mission needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded software development, debugging, and testing, as well as a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
What you will do
- Design, develop, debug, and modify embedded software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with a larger team to develop embedded software products.
- Create and maintain documentation for developed software and techniques.
- Develop and maintain support software for interfacing with embedded software.
- Conduct developer testing and integration testing for all developed software.
What you need to have
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI w/Poly
- Experience:
- Fifteen (15) years of experience as an embedded developer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Four (4) additional years of embedded developer experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with low-level programming in Windows, Linux, or RTOS environments (e.g., VxWorks, uC/OS).
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
What we'd like you to have
- Experience automating the testing of embedded software running on embedded devices.
