As a Security Officer - Airfield Patrol Driver in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location as an unarmed, driving patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting using site technology. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hangars, offices, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, or other security-related concerns.
- Control access at gates, entrances, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, managing visitor processing, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, assisting with evacuations, and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts, and assist with security-related inspections of restricted or controlled areas when assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Have supervisory experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
