Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Analyze system requirements and spearhead design and development activities.
- Assist users in formulating requirements, provide advice on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
- Offer technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
- Develop comprehensive technical, system architecture, and system design documentation.
- Guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Engage with government entities on Systems Engineering technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
- Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- Effectively communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
- Conduct thorough site surveys, document network configurations, and manage hardware installations across multiple sites.
- Analyze and recommend hardware specifications tailored to project needs.
- Review and support network communications systems (LAN/WAN), evaluate current systems, and annotate vulnerabilities.
- Ensure STIG/STE Compliance and implement Zero Trust principles.
Qualifications:
Required:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Alternatively, 25 years of SE experience may be substituted for the degree.
- 20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is essential.
- Proficiency in Cisco networking, Palo Alto, SonicWALL, F5 Load balancer, and Web Proxy.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio network diagrams.
- Expertise in device configuration and deployment.
- Experience in network modernization efforts.
Desired:
- Proven experience in developing system requirements specifications and technical documentation.
- Strong leadership skills in guiding system development and implementation planning.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution in a government oversight environment.
