Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer to join its team in Roy, UT, supporting the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do :
The selected candidate will perform Power System Design technical planning and manage the PDP schedule for the Power Team. The candidate's responsibilities will also include performing CPLM Tech Lead reviews on PDPs in addition to coordination with other teams. This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program.
The selected candidate will demonstrate technical skills, organization, be an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate. They will have the ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program as required to accomplish tasking.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. Problem Solving Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned Discretion/Latitude Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision. Impact Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Liaison Primarily with internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience.

- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- 2 years (6 months w/Master's degree) experience with Systems Engineering Principles
- 2 years (6 months w/Master's degree) experience with Requirements Development or Requirement review.
Principal Systems Engineer (level 3):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering discipline or other STEM field of study or a master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering or related STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience master's degree with 3 years. PhD with 1 year.
