ServiceNow Engineer

Location: Remote or Boston, MA

Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance

Position Overview

We are seeking a ServiceNow Engineer to design, develop, and optimize ServiceNow solutions in a secure enterprise environment. This role goes beyond administration and focuses on platform architecture, custom development, integrations, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and mission needs

• Develop custom applications, workflows, Flow Designer logic, and integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server)

• Configure and extend ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, or SecOps modules

• Perform advanced scripting using JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow best practices

• Lead platform upgrades, architectural improvements, and technical governance

• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and enterprise tools

• Support security, compliance, and audit requirements in a cleared environment

• Mentor administrators and junior engineers as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance (required at time of hire)

• 5+ years of ServiceNow experience with engineering or development focus

• Strong ServiceNow scripting and development expertise

• Experience designing and supporting integrations

• Deep understanding of ITSM and enterprise service workflows

• Ability to work independently in remote or hybrid environments

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD)

• Experience with ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, or SecOps

• Prior experience supporting federal, defense, or intelligence community customers

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
