Job Description
We are hiring an HVAC Technician to work with and handle various refrigerants and HVAC systems.

- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of HVAC/R theory and practice to include: electrical theory;
principles of refrigeration and heat transfer; and system operations. - Follow directions from the Contractor Supervisor and the COR while working independently and as a
team. - Communicate with the Contractor Supervisor, COR, and other personnel.
- Operate a variety of tools applicable to the field.
- Inspect and diagnose related system problems and read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems to identifying the root cause of malfunctions in
refrigeration and air conditioning systems with the use of specialized tools and diagnostic procedures. - Comply with safety regulations and procedures related to POL storage; regulations concerning temperature
control, ventilation, and handling of the materials. - Work with various refrigerants (i.e., charging systems with refrigerants, testing leaks, etc.) and adhering to
EPA regulations regarding the handling and disposal of refrigerants (i.e., Section 608 Universal Refrigeration
Certification). - Perform preventive maintenance and conduct regular inspections, cleaning, filter changes, and other
maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance and prevent breakdowns as applicable. - Participate in installation projects (i.e., positioning components, installing piping, connecting auxiliary
controls, etc.) to ensure installations comply with specifications. - Work on steam, gas, and other specialized systems.
- Work with refrigeration systems used in storing and transporting petroleum, oils, and lubricants to include
specialized cooling equipment and potentially hazardous environments. - Respond to emergency calls when directed by the Contractor Supervisor or COR.
- Maintain records for accountability and to an audit standard.
- Deliver excellent customer service both to internal and external customers while working collaboratively
to build professional relationships (i.e., personnel, customers, etc.). - Identify safety concerns to the Contractor Supervisor and other required stakeholders (i.e., DOD, ARMY,
OSHA, ANSI, etc.). - Assist in maintaining accurate files and provide documentation to the COR as applicable.
- Ensure all administrative functions/paperwork are in order relative to receipt documentation
- Ensure work orders, or internal paperwork, are accomplished on time and in the required format
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite while performing or conducting job duties and be attentive to detail.
- Support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the US ARMY.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) field
and possess and maintain a valid Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Universal Refrigeration
Certification, High School Diploma/GED, and an active CLASS C Driver's License
or
- 3 years of experience in the HVAC/R field and possess and maintain a valid EPA Section 608 Universal
Refrigeration Certification with a certificate of an associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or a
related field and an active CLASS C Driver's License.
