Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Rover Clearance Required in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related concerns, and support access control and incident reporting. You will deliver professional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aviation and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
• Control access at gates, lobbies, and other entry points by checking identification, managing visitor logs, issuing temporary badges as directed, and coordinating approved vehicle and personnel entry.
• Complete security-related reports and documentation, monitor cameras and/or access control systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site contacts during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
