Overview
CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior Logistics SME with demonstrated expertise in life cycle logistics supporting projects for the Department of Defense (DoD) based in Stafford, VA. This position will be responsible for providing logistics management solutions for current and future weapons system builds.
Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense's (DoD) GCSS-MC, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran's Affairs' (VA) telehealth communications. Responsibilities
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-
- Provide direct support to the Project Leads/Team Leads, Logistics Analysts, and Integrated Product Teams
- Draft Material Fielding Plans and Letters of Instruction for fielding new equipment to the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) and Supporting Establishments (SE)
- Host Fielding Conferences for the FMF and SE in preparation for new equipment deliveries
- Attend New Equipment fielding events
- Facilitate revisions to system technical manuals
- Participate in weekly Logistic and Programmatic IPTs
- Maintain the Logistics portion for program integrated master schedules
- Support development and evaluation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and participate in Configuration Control Boards to ensure integrated product support elements are addressed
- Draft Technical, Supply, and Modification Instructions in support of system ECPs
- Monitor systems entering the Marine Corps Depot-Level IROAN program for overhaul
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; preferred.
- Ten (10) years of professional experience, with eight (8) years supporting DoD programs as a Logistics SME
- Six (6) of the ten (10) years must detail progressively increasing levels of responsibility in organizations and task experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and within integrated product teams in physical and virtual settings
