Administrative Assistant

Ocean Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, has an opening for a highly motivated Public Affairs Media Specialist located in Arlington, Virginia.

The Public Affairs Media Specialist will play a key role in the development and delivery of strategic communications that effectively convey agency programs, initiatives, and priorities to diverse external audiences.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides expert scholarly advice, and consultation to projects and professional co-workers.
  • Apply expert and highly specialized knowledge to gather facts, research and analyze data, and develop conclusions, recommendations and strategies.
  • Exhibits expertise in performing a specialized job, task or skill.
  • Possesses greater-than-normal expertise or insight relative to a particular technical or operational discipline, system, or process, and has been selected or appointed to use such expertise to solve a particular problem.
  • Assists project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in specialty areas.
  • Provides strategic communications support to executive leadership, preparing messaging and materials for engagements at the C-Suite level.
  • Supports development and execution of strategic public affairs and communications plans to promote agency programs and initiatives.
  • Assists in messaging through outreach events, webinars, and campaigns.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging accuracy, consistency, and alignment with program objectives.
  • Assists in crafting clear, consistent messaging for external audiences across digital, print and broadcast platforms.
  • Supports podcast productions efforts, including content development, guest coordination, and message alignment.
  • Ensures all external communications adhere to agency policies, branding standards, and public affairs guidance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in a scientific, technical or business discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, culminating in current role as a senior technical/business professional who acts as an adviser in complex and critical client projects.


Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint management and computer software programs.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Possess knowledge of applying analytic methodologies and principles to address program needs.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience developing media products, talking points, and executive communications.
  • Proven ability to support media engagements, press briefings, and podcast productions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality communications products under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and adherence to agency messaging standards.
  • Experience monitoring media coverage and assessing communication effectiveness to inform strategy.
  • Proficiency with digital communications tools and platforms used for external messaging and content distribution.
