DevOps Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a DevSecOps / Cloud Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based platforms and applications within a secure environment. This role focuses on automating deployments, managing cloud infrastructure, and implementing modern DevSecOps practices to support scalable, high-performance systems.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with AWS, Elasticsearch, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments, along with a solid background in system administration and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and applications using AWS services such as S3, EC2, SNS, SQS, and Lambda
• Develop and support automated deployment pipelines for platforms and applications
• Implement DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and security scanning
• Manage containerized applications and support cloud-native architectures
• Configure and maintain cloud databases, storage systems, virtualization environments, and network configurations
• Develop and manage APIs and web services to support application functionality
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system reliability and scalability
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Maintain and support Linux and Unix-based systems
• Utilize Elasticsearch and Kibana for data analysis, monitoring, and system insights
• Track requirements and development activities using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Perform system upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance across software, hardware, and network environments
• Support multi-tenant environments with scalable and secure infrastructure solutions

Required Qualifications

• Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
• Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
• Experience working with Elasticsearch and Kibana
• Experience developing and managing solutions within AWS environments (S3, EC2, SNS, SQS, Lambda)
• Experience implementing automated deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with DevSecOps practices including security scanning, infrastructure as code, and automated quality checks
• Experience working in cloud environments with containerization and API management
• Experience configuring and managing cloud infrastructure, including databases, storage, networking, and virtualization
• Experience supporting Linux and Unix-based operating systems
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation
• Experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting technical issues
• Experience maintaining and managing software, hardware, and network systems

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting system accreditation within secure cloud environments
• Experience with ETL tools such as DataCTRL
• Experience using Apache NiFi for data ingestion and transformation
• Experience with data management practices and large-scale data environments
