Assistant Project Manager – Facilities Support Services

Salary Range - $75,000 to $90,000


Position Summary

The Alternate (Assistant) Project Manager supports the Project Manager in overseeing daily operations and performance of facilities support services. This role ensures contract requirements are executed effectively across operations and maintenance, facility services, and administrative functions. The Alternate Project Manager serves as acting Project Manager in their absence and supports coordination across all service areas within the facility.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in managing all aspects of contract performance in accordance with PWS requirements

  • Support oversight of operations and maintenance (O&M) activities across the facility

  • Coordinate and monitor facility services including maintenance, housekeeping, and food services

  • Assist in supervising staff and subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance

  • Support implementation of operational plans, schedules, and staffing strategies

  • Monitor performance metrics and assist in corrective actions when needed

  • Maintain communication with Government representatives and internal leadership

  • Generate reports, correspondence, and required documentation

  • Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract standards



Minimum Qualifications


  • At least five (5) years of recent experience in operations and maintenance (O&M) or facilities management

  • At least five (5) years of recent experience in a project management or supervisory role

  • Experience with Federal contract management

  • Experience supervising facility operations



Desired Qualifications


  • Experience supporting facilities with similar size, scope, and service mix as a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) complex

  • Experience in environments that include:

    • Adult education residential facilities

    • Facility maintenance operations

    • Food service operations

    • Housekeeping services

    • Human resources support functions





Required Skills


  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to input data into systems

  • Ability to generate reports and correspondence

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
