FOR THE GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Providing advice and/or recommendations regarding financial impact to operations and mission readiness; 2) Researching or investigating problems or errors that require reconciling and amending accounting data; 3) Performing budget execution reviews to ensure budgets are in compliance with budgetary policies and practices; 4) Interpreting/applying regulations and procedures related to Budget Execution and complex actions; and 5) Analyzing financial data in charts, graphs, and tables to portray funds execution.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree;

Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled;

- You will advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration which may include formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.
- You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
- You will perform all technical, analytical, and systemic functions related to budget execution of Program funding.
- You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operation.
- You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; and provides advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
