Business Analyst
Location: Rosslyn, VA - 1 to 2 times a week
Clearance: Secret cleared
We’re seeking a motivated Business Analyst to join our Agile delivery team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional team members, including product owners, scrum masters, and software developers, to support the design, testing, and implementation of software solutions to ensure the successful delivery of new system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze, design, and document business processes and requirements; understand client or user needs and translate them into stories and acceptance criteria.
• Support acceptance and regression testing by preparing test scenarios, validating functionality, and troubleshooting issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and/or client-facing meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Develop internal, client-facing, and user-facing materials, including presentations, training content, process documentation, and release notes.
• Assess current state to identify opportunities for process improvement; define the future state and/or business solution.
• Support the product owner and product manager with backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization to ensure it remains healthy and ordered.
• Communicate effectively with team and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Qualifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and business processes.
• A proactive, responsible, and adaptable approach to work.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus, but not required.

Salary Range:
$70,000 to $85,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
