Job Description
As a valued member of this team, you will deliver high-quality paralegal services in support of the government's litigation efforts. This position is onsite in Washington, DC, where you will utilize your legal expertise, adaptability, attention to detail, and strong research and writing skills.
Education Requirements
Paralegal certificate, JD, or
Currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed, or
One year of legal training/experience or two years of college education may substitute for the paralegal certificate
Required Skills
At least one year of litigation paralegal or relevant project experience (trial experience preferred)
Automated litigation support experience valued
Basic legal knowledge and proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., LEXIS, Westlaw)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency with computer applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets)
Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures
Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Compile, prepare, and summarize materials for attorneys
Summarize depositions and maintain case files
Perform legal research and control document discovery
Manage exhibits and assist attorneys in the courtroom
Review documents for relevance and compile documents for FOIA requests
