Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations for restricted areas, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or operational issues according to site protocols.
• Support a professional presence at an aerospace and defense location while following post orders, handling sensitive situations with discretion, and completing required reports and/or logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
