SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii’s (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.

We are currently hiring an experienced Supervisor to oversee and facilitate progress of work across all PPPO actions at our Schofield Barracks, HI location. This position works under the general guidance and supervision of the Transportation Division Manager and responsibilities encompass a full range of administrative tasks and technical duties that support transportation operations tied to Army Logistic Support Services. This position provides direct supervision and guidance for all Travel Clerks and Accounting Clerks through coaching and performance management.  

Essential Functions include (but are not limited to):
  • Facilitates, executes, and manages daily workload priorities as determined by the Transportation Division Manager through active participation in day-to-day operations.
  • Oversees services for military and civilian personnel to facilitate relocation of personal property and family members based on orders, transportation entitlements, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR) and ensures lines of accounting (LOA) are available to support these movements. 
  • Oversees shipment application submittals, close-out of Personally Procured Moves (PPM) and reconciliation of Centrally Billed Accounts (CBA),  making sure they are executed in accordance with Army regulations and are in scope of the contract.
  • Utilizes the Defense Personal Property System (DPS), E-TOPS, the Defense Travel System (DTS), RECON Plus, the Corporate Electronic Document Management System and Unanet for operational functionality.
  • Solves problems involving PPPO operations and exercises active communication with customers when issues arise. 
  • Interfaces directly with customers and is responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction while keeping the Transportation Division Manager informed of all issues/concerns. 
  • Ensures shipment submittal requirements are met in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), arranging workload schedules to prevent or reduce overtime utilization, reviewing and approving personnel labor sheets, monitoring employee work performance, disciplining personnel that fail to follow polices/procedures or meet work requirements, preparing weekly and monthly reports, efficiently communicating with employees and the management team, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Provides training to employees to promote compliance with contract requirements and adherence to approved policies and procedures. 
  • Meets all assignment/report deadlines as established by management and will perform special projects as needed. 
  • Provides contract support to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and security regulations. 
  • Maintains PPPO's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions and provides updates as necessary or as requested. 
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

Work Conditions:
  • Working outside of normal business hours is required to support contract requirements. 
  • Work is typically performed in well-ventilated and lighted areas with some lifting and moving of materials.   
  • This position requires standing, walking, and sitting while working either indoors or outdoors. 
  • While performing the job, you may be required to lift/carry, pull/push, reach, squat, and kneel.
  • You may be required to perform other duties as assigned. 
  • You are expected to always be available via phone and are subject to being called in to work as needed. 



Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Transportation.
  • Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations and Defense Transportation Regulations and other Army regulations as well as contract requirements.
  • Ability to research and explain regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to the position.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Amazing customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 software applications.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Team player and self-starter.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior multi-tasking skills.
  • Efficient time-management skills.
  • Current HI Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include Drug, SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
