About Blue Rose
Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. We are building a team for the anticipated Department of State Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) effort supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology, Enterprise Applications Directorate, Office of Consular Systems and Technology.
About the Role
Provide advanced Tier II support for desktop computers, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, peripherals, applications, and Government-furnished equipment used by Department of State personnel. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.
What You'll Do
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and support Windows desktops, laptops, iPads, peripherals, approved software, and related endpoint technologies.
• Resolve escalated incidents and complex endpoint issues, document actions in the ticketing system, and maintain ownership through closure.
• Support hardware break/fix, office moves, targeted desktop expansions, device replacements, and user onboarding or access changes.
• Ensure desktops and laptops receive required patches, security updates, antivirus protection, and compliance remediation.
• Use remote-support and endpoint-management tools, including MECM and Active Directory, to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain and support crisis-management equipment kits, including laptops, routers, and switches, in a current and deployable state.
Minimum Requirements
• 3+ years of desktop, endpoint, or field support experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, MECM, and enterprise endpoint troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and peripheral equipment.
• Knowledge of patch compliance, endpoint security, account administration, and Government-furnished equipment management.
• Ability to document technical work clearly and communicate effectively with end users and technical teams.
• Active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Department of State or other Federal users.
• CompTIA A+, Security+, Microsoft, or equivalent technical certification.
• Experience with remote diagnostics, predictive analytics, or automated desktop-management tools.
