Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing management, antiterrorism and physical security program guidance; 2) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting deadlines, priorities, and schedules for completion; 3) Reviewing work methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness; 4) Developing performance standards for subordinates; 5) Identifying and apply new technologies, theories and security concepts for defense of the installation and mitigation of vulnerabilities; and 6) Overseeing local threat assessment information provided by other law enforcement and homeland security organizations. Work is generally sedentary although some rigorous physical activity is required during regular and recurring visits to installations, ships, aircraft, and field.
Work Environment
The majority of the work is accomplished in an office setting; however, visits may be required to installations, airfields, and ships. Due to the size of the region and the scope of Force Protection operations and the nature of the required duties, infrequent travel may be required.

- You will assess security threats or vulnerabilities to recommend mitigating actions.
- You will administer and manage Personnel, Information, or Physical Security programs to support operations.
