IT SYSTEMS QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

SUMMARY
Provides Quality Control (QC) support across a wide variety of IT systems, including premises wiring, inside plant (ISP) infrastructure, telecommunications rooms and associated infrastructure, and outside plant (OSP) infrastructure. Performs inspections and walkthroughs, validates installation procedures, witnesses IT testing and critical OSP construction, and maintains QC documentation to ensure work conforms to ANSI/TIA standards and customer requirements on military IT and construction projects.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline and 0 to 5 years of experience, or Associate's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline and 7 or more years of experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold an active Final or Interim Secret clearance at time of award and obtain a Final Secret clearance within 180 days of performance start. U.S. citizenship required.
Must be designated and maintain eligibility as Information Technology IT/ADP Level III in accordance with AR 25-2, AR 380-67, and DoD 8570.01M.
DoD, Army, or USACE construction experience preferred. High level of integrity and accountability, including the judgment to report findings directly to the Government without representing or making commitments on behalf of the prime contractor or the Government.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge in ANSI/TIA telecommunications cabling and infrastructure standards
Knowledge in inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) infrastructure and construction methods
Knowledge in premises wiring and telecommunications room design and installation
Knowledge in optical fiber and copper cable systems and testing
Knowledge in grounding, bonding, and shielding practices
Knowledge in military IT and construction project requirements
SKILLS
Skilled in performing QC walkthroughs and inspections of inside and outside plant infrastructure
Skilled in reviewing and validating IT installation procedures against ANSI/TIA standards
Skilled in maintaining QC checklists, logs, and checkpoint review reports
Skilled in witnessing IT testing and critical outside plant construction
Skilled in optical fiber and copper cable testing methods
Skilled in interpreting grounding, bonding, and shielding requirements
