We are seeking a Materials Coordinator to join our team in Chula Vista, CA. This position is responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating material deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of supplies for production and operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and other related documentation
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues or delays in material deliveries
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Support production planning by providing accurate inventory data and forecasts
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate supplier contracts
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to inventory management and material flow
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain operations
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPM)
