Sherpa 6, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Requirements/Systems Engineer to develop requirements traceability for specific customers and for companywide initiatives. Sherpa 6 performs systems integration, develops advanced technologies within a CI/CD environment, and assists the Army in integrating these capabilities into Army units in ways that significantly improve their warfighting capabilities. This position is both customer- and internally-facing, and is intended to significantly expand our requirements traceability, development collaboration, and the processes necessary to achieve our CMMI certification.
As a Requirements/Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will be integrating requirements traceability across multiple programs - primarily linked to software development and its associated tools and processes (Jira, Test, etc.). You'll work with the Sherpa 6 software development team, support customer requirements documentation, requirements traceability, and program risk identification and tracking, and facilitate design, development, and integration of technologies in systems fielded to warfighters. Your primary work effort will be requirements traceability integrated with our Jira-based software development processes, working alongside a team of SMEs and software developers to document requirements directly against customer-driven priorities.

Salary Range
The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.

Requirements
- BS in Engineering and 5 years of experience in related work
- SME-level proficiency in Jama
- Demonstrated systems engineering experience on multiple integration programs
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and development of SE products across multiple programs simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills in resolving issues with complex requirements traceability tracking
- Superior verbal and writing communication skills
- Experience using AI tools to improve products and efficiency
- Experience with systems engineering processes and related SE product development
Preferred Experience:
- MS in Systems Engineering
- Familiarity with the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management platforms
- Familiarity with the military acquisition system
- Military experience - preferred
- INCOSE CSEP Certification
- Familiarity with CMMI processes, associated tools, and certification
