POSITION: Acquisition Management Support / Special Projects

LOCATION: Dayton, Ohio, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret

POSITION TYPE/STANDARD WORK HOURS: Full-time 40 hours per week

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Air Force (AF) Program Executive Officer for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) / Special Operation Forces (SOF), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WI) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to arm the warfighter with timely Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) solutions through a high-performance team executing acquisition excellence. The Acquisition Management Support / Special Projects position supports the suite of Medium Altitude Unmanned Aerial Systems, including the MQ-9.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Government by providing advisory support for acquisition management, program planning and integration support of aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities to AFLCMC/WII.
  • Provide advisory and draft documentation support in planning, developing, and staffing products such as mid-level briefings, correspondence, reports, databases, websites and other products.
  • Review specific or general AFLCMC/WII processes and procedures and provide recommended process improvements for Government consideration.
  • Review ACAT reporting requirements, as well as the location, collation, or generation of the data required for Government review/population in the required reports. Provide recommended process improvements for Government consideration.
  • Provide advisory and draft documentation support for the development of acquisition management, program planning and integration correspondence and other program products. Coordinate draft correspondence, and secure AFLCMC/WII leadership approval prior to distribution.
  • Provide advisory assistance for financial/acquisition management support functions to include the coordination and tracking of contracts, invoices, and contract modifications.
  • Provide advisory assistance in translating stated requirements into recommended contract documents including but not limited to Performance Based Statement of Work (PBSOW) and CDRLs. And assist the CO in identifying required or by recommending potential FAR or DFARS clauses for Government consideration.
  • Provide advisory and draft documentation assistance to the customer in support of the analysis of technical solutions for MQ-9 UAS for Command-and Air Staff-level briefings and staff packages that support the PEM in developing, defending, and justifying budgets as they proceed through USAF, DoD, and Congressional reviews.
  • Manage activities and interactions with the USAF, prime weapon systems contractor, and other designated organizations and agencies related to the establishment and sustainment of AFSOC's Operations Centers. Interface with MQ-9 PoR SOC Team to ensure AFSOC requirements are represented and understood for integration fielding and sustainment activities.
  • Provide advisory and draft documentation support for major program reviews to ensure operations center issues are properly addressed. Facilitate the submission, review, and approval of accreditation documentation and activities through the eMASS and platform IT accreditation process.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree (Master of Arts / Master of Science) and twelve (12) years of experience in the above-mentioned technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.

-OR-
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.

-OR-
  • Twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
  • Experience with AFSOC Operations Centers, DoD Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and SOCOM C4ISR Programs is highly desired.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not supervise others.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.

TRAVEL:

Minimal travel, 5 - 10%.

COMPENSATION:

BTAS adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. Salary is subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc. This position will be eligible for participation in the BTAS Business Development Bonus Program
