Position Summary

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Electronics & Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Owego, NY. In this role, you will perform a variety of production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow technical drawings and diagrams, and a commitment to producing high-quality products in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Assemble components such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Interpret and work from diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform initial layouts and utilize hand and power tools as required.
• Conduct continuity checks on work-in-process and completed assemblies.
• Perform quality inspections in accordance with established specifications and standards.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company quality, safety, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and instructions.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow established procedures and specifications.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous assembly, manufacturing, electronics, or mechanical production experience.
• Experience conducting inspections and quality checks.
• Familiarity with prototype or experimental assembly work.
