Employment Type: 6 moth contract to hire
Pay: $80-90/hr & $160-180k conversion
Work schedule: M-F 9am – 5pm (can start as early as 7am)

Role Overview
This position supports defensive cyberspace operations for a key government partner. The selected candidate will provide expertise on the planning and execution of a variety of defensive cyberspace Operations, Actions, and Investments (OA&I). This role involves collaboration with multiple internal and external planning elements and joint staff directorates to protect critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct and support future operations (FUOPS) planning and defensive cyber operations execution.
• Translate strategic guidance into executable Courses of Action (COAs), CONOPs, and TTPs.
• Lead or support deliberate planning and Crisis Action Planning using the Joint Planning Process (JPP).
• Lead teams of diverse stakeholders to develop plans that meet Commander’s priorities and mission objectives.
• Develop and conduct briefings to senior leadership.
• Author and staff CONOPS and various levels of operational plans (e.g., BPLANS, CONPLANS, OPLANS).
• Develop assessment indicators and practices to measure the effectiveness of defensive cyberspace operations.
• Coordinate and de-conflict communications with staff elements, subordinate headquarters, and other government agencies.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:
• Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience.
• Associate's degree with 14 years of experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.

Clearance:
• PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment* (sponsorship unavailable)

Technical Skills & Certifications:
• Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Level I or II certification Required.
• Demonstrated experience with the Joint Planning Process (JPP).
• Working knowledge of Joint Publication 3-12 (Cyberspace Operations), JP-3 (Operations), and JP 5-0 (Joint Planning).
• Experience briefing Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with DISA and DoD Networks.
• Completion of military cyber planning courses (e.g., ACOPC, JCOPC, JACWC).
• Completion of non-DoD cyber certifications (e.g., Net+, SEC+, CISM, CISSP).
• Understanding of Directive Authority for Cyberspace Operations (DACO).
