Systems Engineer and Subject Matter Expert
The Systems Engineer and Subject Matter Expert will support the training team by designing, developing, and delivering technical training that prepares operators and analysts for mission-critical work. This role involves collaborating with instructors, curriculum developers, and mission leadership to ensure course materials are up-to-date and relevant.
Responsibilities:
- Develop technical training curriculum, course materials, and hands-on exercises for the training team.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to instruct, coach, and mentor students and junior personnel.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of offensive security operations and cyber mission tradecraft.
- Experience developing and delivering technical training and instructional materials.
- Experience developing or reviewing Job Qualification Standards (JQS) and Technique Qualification Standards (TQS).
- Experience with operating systems and networking concepts (security, design, and troubleshooting).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/ESXi, Proxmox, KVM) for training environments.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Bash, Python, C++).
Experience Required: 8 years with Bachelor's degree in technical field, or 4 additional years without degree
Location: Columbia, MD
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Salary Range: $153,000 - $182,000
