Blu Omega is seeking an Angular Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Patient Care Services program. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting modern, responsive web applications supporting mission-critical healthcare and federal technology initiatives.

The VA runs programs benefiting veterans and their families, providing healthcare, education, rehabilitation, and various benefits related to military service.

Anticipated Duration: Contingent on funding, with an expected period from 09/24/2026 to 09/23/2027
Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance enterprise web applications using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Build reusable, responsive UI components supporting complex workflows.
• Translate functional, technical, and UX requirements into intuitive, high-performing user interfaces.
• Integrate Angular applications with REST APIs and backend services within a Java-based environment.
• Collaborate with Java developers to define API requirements, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure reliable communication between front-end and back-end systems.
• Implement secure application patterns, including data validation, error handling, authentication, and authorization.
• Develop and maintain unit and automated front-end tests to ensure application quality.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Support CI/CD processes and application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
• Ensure applications meet accessibility, security, performance, and maintainability standards.
• Develop technical documentation supporting application functionality and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional front-end or software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
• Experience integrating Angular applications with REST APIs and enterprise backend services.
• Familiarity with Java-based application environments and collaboration with Java development teams.
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma), source control, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across front-end and API layers.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and web application security standards.
• Experience developing accessible applications per Section 508, WCAG, or similar standards.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, medication management, or clinical applications is highly valued.

Compensation
Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000
