Location: Washington, DC

Work Type: Hybrid 3 day/week on site in Washington, DC

Description:
Our client is seeking an Application Tester to support and develop Java-based applications along with our team of developers and engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing and validating software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for software applications
• Identify and document defects and issues
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted by new changes
• Provide feedback to developers on code quality and testability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Proven experience with Java-based applications
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of database testing
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Clearance: Public Trust clearance may be required for this position.
