Our client seeks a Junior Penetration Tester to support security assessments across web applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and networks. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, conducting penetration tests, and providing detailed reports to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments and penetration tests on web applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and networks.
- Identify and document vulnerabilities, including severity and potential impact.
- Develop and execute testing strategies and methodologies.
- Create detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and remediation steps.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and objectives.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in penetration testing or security assessments.
- Knowledge of common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, etc.).
- Familiarity with penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap).
- Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of web application firewalls and security controls.
