Sr. Security Engineer (Trellix)

Description:
On-site in Washington, DC As a Sr. Security Engineer (Trellix), you will serve as the technical lead for our client's endpoint security and data protection initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions to protect critical assets and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of endpoint security strategies and solutions
• Manage and optimize security tools and platforms to detect and respond to threats
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into business processes
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior security engineers and other IT staff
• Stay current with emerging security threats and trends to ensure proactive defense measures
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
• Support incident response and forensic investigations as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on endpoint security
• Proven experience with endpoint protection platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Trellix)
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of advanced threat detection and response techniques
• Certification in CISSP, CEH, or similar security credential
