Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Security Specialist to support a leading global technology organization in RTP, NC. The Security Specialist will play a critical role in supporting industrial security operations, maintaining compliance with security requirements, and assisting with personnel and facility security activities. This Security Specialist opportunity is ideal for candidates with an active Top Secret Clearance and requires you to work onsite 5 days per week in Raleigh, NC. This is a long term open ended contracting opportunity.
Responsibilities of the Security Specialist:
• Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Assistant Facility Security Officers (AFSOs) with day-to-day security operations.
• Prepare, review, and issue DD254 documentation and manage DD254 flow-down requirements.
• Initiate, process, and maintain personnel security clearances.
• Conduct security indoctrinations, debriefings, and program briefings.
• Serve as a security administrator supporting program security requirements.
• Provide personnel escort support for ICD build enhancements, including existing and newly constructed spaces.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements of the Security Specialist:
• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Experience processing DD254 flow-downs.
• Experience processing security clearances.
• Experience using DISS is preferred.
• Candidates transitioning from physical security to industrial security are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience working alongside an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in RTP, NC five days per week.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a regulated security environment.
Compensation for the Security Specialist:
• $80,000 - $100,000 base salary
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
