Position Summary
The GCSS-Army Maintenance Technical Instructor serves as a subject-matter expert and instructor for GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance, unit maintenance management, equipment readiness, maintenance transactions, and maintenance-related SAV, inspection-support, and onsite-assistance activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Teach the GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance Manager Course and other maintenance-related instruction as assigned.
Support Executive Officer/Platoon Leader maintenance instruction.
Train military personnel on GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance processes and unit maintenance management.
Provide hands-on assistance with maintenance transactions, equipment-status management, troubleshooting, and readiness processes.
Support Battalion-level SAVs involving maintenance management and GCSS-Army.
Assist Government inspectors with Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP) and other maintenance-related inspection activities.
Provide onsite technical assistance to maintenance personnel and unit leaders.
Identify maintenance-process deficiencies and coach units on corrective procedures.
Support equipment-status, maintenance-record, PMCS, and readiness analysis.
Cross-train with Equipment Records/ERPS and PMCS instructors to support continuity and surge requirements.
Prepare or contribute to briefings, point papers, trend reports, training records, and other required products.
Required Qualifications
Minimum three years of directly relevant Army maintenance and/or GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance.
Strong knowledge of Army maintenance management, equipment readiness, PMCS, maintenance policy, and unit-level maintenance operations.
Working knowledge of AR 750-1 and DA Pam 750-8.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot maintenance transactions and explain corrective processes to users.
Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners and provide hands-on technical coaching.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications used for reports, presentations, and training products.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERPS, AOAP, TMDE, equipment-status reporting, or related maintenance programs.
CMDP, SAV, COMET, or inspection-support experience.
Graduate of ABIC, FIFC, CTC, or equivalent DoD/TRADOC instructor training.
Prior service in an Army maintenance-management, maintenance-control, or comparable logistics role.
Cross-functional knowledge of unit supply, property accountability, or movement operations.
Active Secret eligibility/clearance.
Security and Installation Access
Active Secret eligibility/clearance is anticipated to be required for onsite personnel at contract start, subject to final Government requirements. The selected candidate must also be able to satisfy installation-access, background-investigation, CAC, and Government information-system access requirements applicable to the position.
Work Location and Schedule
Work will primarily be performed at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Some field support, SAV, inspection-support, or mission requirements may occur outside normal core hours.
