Position Summary


The Master Driver / Driver Training Technical Instructor serves as the primary subject-matter expert for Army driver training, Master Driver programs, licensing, operator-training management, and associated GCSS-Army driver-management functions.


Primary Responsibilities

• 
  
  Teach the GCSS-Army Master Driver Refresher Course and Master Driver User training, as assigned.
  
  


• 
  
  Train and assist unit License Instructors and License Examiners.
  
  


• 
  
  Support unit driver-training and licensing programs.
  
  


• 
  
  Provide onsite Driver Training Instructor Operations assistance.
  
  


• 
  
  Support driver-training SAVs and Government-led inspection activities.
  
  


• 
  
  Evaluate unit driver-training programs, identify weaknesses, and coach personnel on corrective procedures.
  
  


• 
  
  Support leader and unit training related to operator licensing and driver-program management.
  
  


• 
  
  Cross-train in movement and transportation functions where qualified.
  
  


• 
  
  Prepare or contribute to briefings, trend reports, training records, and other required products.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  
  Minimum three years of Army Master Driver, driver-training, licensing, transportation, or directly related logistics experience.
  
  


• 
  
  Strong knowledge of Army driver-training and licensing processes.
  
  


• 
  
  Knowledge of GCSS-Army driver-management functions applicable to unit programs.
  
  


• 
  
  Experience working with License Instructors, License Examiners, or unit Master Driver programs.
  
  


• 
  
  Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners and provide hands-on technical coaching.
  
  


• 
  
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications used for reports, presentations, and training products.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  
  Prior Master Driver, License Instructor, License Examiner, or comparable qualification/experience.
  
  


• 
  
  SAV, COMET, inspection-support, or unit-readiness experience.
  
  


• 
  
  TC-AIMS, ICODES, unit movement, air-load, rail-load, or deployment-planning experience.
  
  


• 
  
  Graduate of ABIC, FIFC, CTC, or equivalent DoD/TRADOC instructor training.
  
  


• 
  
  Active Secret eligibility/clearance.
  
  

Security and Installation Access


Active Secret eligibility/clearance is anticipated to be required for onsite personnel at contract start, subject to final Government requirements. The selected candidate must also be able to satisfy installation-access, background-investigation, CAC, and Government information-system access requirements applicable to the position.


Work Location and Schedule


Work will primarily be performed at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Some driver-training, field, SAV, or inspection-support requirements may occur outside normal core hours.
