SAIC is seeking a Lead R&D project manager to support COBRA! The ideal candidate will advance Army Maneuver capabilities-including protected mobility, autonomy, sustainment, survivability, and multi-domain maneuver support-within MFCD and related Army programs.

SAIC is seeking a Lead R&D project manager to support COBRA! The ideal candidate will advance Army Maneuver capabilities-including protected mobility, autonomy, sustainment, survivability, and multi-domain maneuver support-within MFCD and related Army programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage R&D project planning, schedule, cost, risk, and technical performance.
- Translate maneuver operational needs into technical requirements and prototypes.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering (systems, hardware, software, test).
- Support user evaluations/Soldier touchpoints, experiments, and integration events.
- Ensure compliance with Army/DoD standards, acquisition processes, and reporting.
- Interface with Army Maneuver stakeholders, DEVCOM, T2COM, and MFCD leadership.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS & 6+ years R&D project/program management experience supporting Army Maneuver or combat arms modernization.
- Background in maneuver-enabling technologies (mobility systems, robotics/autonomy, actuation/controls, survivability systems).
- Experience with Army modernization priorities: protected mobility, adaptive sustainment, deep sensing, C2 resilience.
- Strong DoD acquisition knowledge; TRL progression; prototype-to-program transitions.
- SECRET clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with actuation/flight controls, unmanned systems, platform integration.
- Familiarity with MDO concepts and Maneuver modernization strategy.
- Experience with DEVCOM/T2COM/PEO partners.
