Our client seeks an Application Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance AWS-based applications and infrastructure. The role collaborates with development, operations, and business teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud solutions that support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud applications on AWS.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and ship new features.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Manage cloud resources, including EC2 instances, VPCs, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and other AWS services.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security.
- Implement automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our cloud solutions remain cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Proven experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and more.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in the cloud environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
