GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to:Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience applying, interpreting, and adapting established security program policies, procedures, and regulations to resolve conventional security issues. Examples of qualifying experience could include: Independently reviewing and analyzing security problems to recommend corrective actions based on an interpretation of existing policies and regulations; OR Administering a security clearance program (e.g., for SCI) by processing, tracking, and verifying clearances and accesses for personnel; OR Conducting assessments or self-inspections of security programs to ensure compliance with established directives and resolving discrepancies. AND Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position.

For DSR Annuitant Applicants: In accordance with Section 9902(g) of Title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.), annuitants reemployed in the DoD will receive full annuity and salary upon appointment. They will not be eligible for retirement contributions, participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, or a supplemental or redetermined annuity for the reemployment period. Discontinued service retirement annuitants (i.e., retired in accordance with Section 8336(d)(1) or Section 8414(b)(1)(A) of Title 5, U.S.C.) appointed to the DoD may elect to be subject to retirement provisions of the new appointment as appropriate.
- Serves as the Wing Information Protection Program Manager executing/enforcing all operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of the program.
- Makes information protection risk assessments and risk management/mitigation strategies/recommendations based on intelligence-derived threat issues that may require deviations from or synthesis of policies.
- Delivers, Security Awareness and Education Programs to satisfy security education and training requirements for all assigned organizations.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Conditions of employment
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- The employee will be required to take a drug test.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing.
- The employee will be required to obtain and maintain a TS-SCI security clearance.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) conferrals are required.
- The above listed certification required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
