Job Description
Day-to-Day:
• Prepare structural engineering analyses, calculations, and design packages
• Develop AutoCAD plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Design vertical and lateral force-resisting structural systems
• Perform structural design for:
o Concrete structures
o Steel structures
o Timber structures
o Masonry structures
• Design shallow and deep foundation systems
• Design retaining walls, utility supports, and other structural elements
• Perform structural evaluations and engineering studies
• Support environmental load and blast load analysis as required
• Review structural systems, materials, and construction methods for project applicability
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and project stakeholders
• Support in-house, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build projects
• Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, DoD, and Navy design standards

This individual will provide structural engineering expertise for a wide range of military, government, and capital improvement projects, supporting projects from planning and design through construction execution. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for developing calculations, analyses, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates while ensuring compliance with federal, Navy, and industry design standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to mission-critical facility projects supporting federal operations.
