Assertive Professionals is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst supporting our DoD/DoW customer in Quantico, VA.

This position provides 80 hours of paid leave annually, accrued throughout the year plus 11 federal holidays.  Paid leave accruals vary by contract and are established based on customer requirements and the contractual level of effort. The salary range for this position is structured with this annual leave allocation incorporated into the compensation model.

• Additional PTO may be given for excused government absences.

The salary for this position is $100,000, based on the candidate meeting or exceeding the position requirements. Employees are also eligible for a $1,200 annual corporate compliance bonus for time and attendance compliance. In addition, candidates are eligible for either a $2,000 sign-on bonus or up to $2,000 in relocation cost reimbursement.


Responsibilities Include:


The Senior Budget Analyst will support DCSA Acquisition & Technology budget and financial management activities, including financial procedure improvement, spend-plan development, planning, forecasting, budget formulation and execution, variance analysis, financial projections, and G-Invoicing support. The position will support financial and acquisition systems such as the ABM Tool, DAI, SharePoint, and ServiceNow; reconcile financial data; track budget adjustments and requirements; support fund movement and budget controls; prepare financial reports, metrics, briefings, and data visualizations; assist with ULO and de-obligation analysis; support year-end closeout activities; and maintain required financial management tracking and documentation.


Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance


• 10 years of relevant experience


• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field; OR A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting experience


• 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis of financial or programmatic data


• Must possess competencies in technical writing, business strategy, Lean Six Sigma/SCRUM team leadership and/or DAWIA Program and Procurement Management, Project Management and/or Procurement methodologies


• Working knowledge of applying Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and other applicable Federal Regulations and DoD/DoW policies


• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Onsite Position Requirements - This position requires regular onsite work at a government/customer facility. The employee must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to:
